Many users get so used to the mouse for easy controlling of the pointer on graphical user interface until a new mouse has been installed.If you are using windows xp.7 or 8 and your mouse stopped working,you can actually Configure the keyboard and use the numeric keys to control the cursor movement.
- Click On Start
- Go to Control Panel
- Then click on switch to classic view
- Then click on Accessibility options
- Then click on mouse tab
- Select use use mouse keys
- Click ok
- For increasing the speed of cursors click on settings
- You can also increase the mouse speed of your cursor movements according to your needs
- Adjust the settings that you want
- Now press Num Lock

For Windows 7 or Vista Follow These Steps
- Click On Start
- Go to Control Panel
- Go to ease of acces center
- Click make mouse easier to use
- Select turn on mouse keys
- You can also increase the mouse speed of your cursor movements according to your needs

For Windows 8 Follow These Steps
- Click On Search
- In search box enter change how your mouse works
- Select the options that you want to use
- Turn on Mouse Keys
- Adjust the settings according to your needs
